Game demos come to Google Play Store: Simply hit the ‘try now’ button

The Google Play Store now has a “try now” button for games, right next to the “buy” or “install” button. The feature uses technology from mobile studio AppOnBoard, and has already been implemented in a few titles. AppOnBoard is offering a 30-day free trial to developers wanting the feature in their games. Instant Apps have been available on the Google Play Store for a while now, allowing users to access apps without downloading them. Now, Google has taken things further with a “try now” button (located next to the “install” or “buy” buttons) for games in the Play Store. According to  Venturebeat  (h/t:  XDA-Developers ), hitting the button launches a demo that requires no installation. This demo can be up to 10MB in size, and seamlessly prompts users to download or purchase the full product once it’s over. The technology, which is actually the brain-child of mobile company AppOnBoard, has already been implemented in games like Cookie Jam Blast. It also works with u

CompTIA PenTest+ Certification

Why is it different? CompTIA PenTest+ is the only penetration testing exam taken at a Pearson VUE testing center with both hands-on, performance-based questions and multiple-choice, to ensure each candidate possesses the skills, knowledge, and ability to perform tasks on systems. PenTest+ exam also includes management skills used to plan, scope, and manage weaknesses, not just exploit them. PenTest+ is unique because our certification requires a candidate to demonstrate the hands-on ability and knowledge to test devices in new environments such as the cloud and mobile, in addition to traditional desktops and servers. About the exam   CompTIA PenTest+ assesses the most up-to-date penetration testing, and vulnerability assessment and management skills necessary to determine the resiliency of the network against attacks. Successful candidates will have the intermediate skills required to customize assessment frameworks to effectively collaborate on and report findings. Candi

CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification

CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) is an IT workforce certification that applies behavioral analytics to networks and devices to prevent, detect and combat cybersecurity threats. Why is it different? CySA+ is the only intermediate high-stakes cybersecurity analyst certification with performance-based questions covering security analytics, intrusion detection and response. High-stakes exams are proctored at a Pearson VUE testing center in a highly secure environment. CySA+ is the most up-to-date security analyst certification that covers advanced persistent threats in a post-2014 cybersecurity environment. About the exam As attackers have learned to evade traditional signature-based solutions, such as firewalls, an analytics-based approach within the IT security industry is increasingly important for most organizations. The behavioral analytics skills covered by CySA+ identify and combat malware, and advanced persistent threats (APTs), resulting in enhanced threat visibi

Netflix Deleted Users Reviews From Website

Netflix has removed all the user reviews submitted for TV shows, movies from its website as a part of the company's decision. The company began notifying its subscribers of the move last month. The users could only post reviews up until July 30. The company also added that it would remove all existing reviews by mid-August, reported Variety. Netflix indicated that they decided to do away with the feature in response to a drop in the number of users submitting reviews. But removing reviews will no doubt impact users, who rely on members' opinions to find new shows to watch. Popular original series Stranger Things had obtained 4,000 reviews on Netflix's site before it removed the feature. Netflix may have zapped user-submitted reviews to prevent users from tanking their original programming. It may have helped drive down user's overall perception of the quality of the service. Another case could be that Netflix users tried to sabotage titles they didn't l

HACKING A BRAND NEW MAC REMOTELY, RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX

APPLE'S SUPPLY CHAIN is one of the most closely monitored and analyzed in the world, both because of the control the company exerts and keen interest from third parties. But there's still never a guarantee that a mass-produced product will come out of the box totally pristine. In fact, it's possible to remotely compromise a brand new Mac the first time it connects to Wi-Fi. That attack, which researchers will demonstrate Thursday at the Black Hat security conference in Las Vegas, targets enterprise Macs that use A pple's D evice E nrollment P rogram and its Mobile Device Management platform. These enterprise tools allow employees of a company to walk through the customized IT setup of a Mac themselves, even if they work in a satellite office or from home. The idea is that a company can ship Macs to its workers directly from Apple's warehouses, and the devices will automatically configure to join their corporate ecosystem after booting up for the first time an

Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin Electric Hybrid Flying Taxi

British carmaker Rolls-Royce revealed the plans to develop a hybrid electric vehicle, dubbed the "flying taxi", which takes off and lands vertically at the Farnborough Airshow for the first time, as other players also rush into the market segment. (Image: Rolls-Royce) Other companies researching the sector include US taxi-hailing company Uber, the Google-backed Kitty Hawk project, Lilium Aviation in Germany, Safran in France, and Honeywell in the United States. (Image: Aston Martin) Rolls said it hoped to manufacture a prototype version of its electric vertical take-off and landing (EVTOL) vehicle within the next 18 months, and could potentially take to the skies in the early 2020s. (Image: Rolls-Royce) The aerospace sector's push into electric propulsion has drawn comparisons with the automotive industry, where electric cars are gaining ground in terms of popularity and performance. The real market opportunity will likely be a scaled up version of 1

DRAGON BALL FighterZ

Game Rating is  8 /10 as per GameSpot The gameplay is inspired by concepts from several other fighting games, namely the control scheme and team mechanics. Players each select three characters to form a team, from an initial roster of 24. One character is controlled and can be switched with one of the other characters at any time. Players can also call one of their other characters to perform an "Assist" move, allowing simultaneous attacks and combos with the entire team. All three of the opponent's characters must be defeated to win the game. In addition to the unique moves of each character, players have several universal moves available. With the "Vanish Attack", the player can expend Ki to instantly teleport behind an opponent's character and strike them in the back. This has multiple uses, from bypassing enemy projectiles to moving quickly around the stage, or extending a combo. The "Dragon Rush" move can break through an opponent's

FarCry 5

Game Rating is 7.6 /10 as per GameSpot Though settings change, new villians challenge your mortality, and Ubisoft continues to introduce new innovations, over the past several entries Ubisoft Montreal has settled into a predictable (and fun) rhthym with the main Far Cry entries. You climb a radio tower to reveal locations, take down a series of enemy outposts, and hunt animals to gather raw materials for crafting in between story missions. With Far Cry 5, the developers hope to shake up the foundation of this game loop by making some fundamental changes. Here are five alterations we noticed during our hands-on sessions with the game at E3. No More Fictional Locations (Kind Of) Outside of the mutant-filled first entry, the Far Cry series has genrally clung closely to realism, yet never taken the plunge with a real setting. Far Cry 2 introduced a fictional failed African state, Far Cry 3's Southeast Asian Rook Islands aren't real, and Far Cry 4 introduced the Napal

Monster Hunter World (PC)

There’s more to Monster Hunter than its name suggests. Yes, you’ll hunt fantastical beasts with rudimentary weapons and armour so that you can craft better gear from their remains. And sure, that improved loadout helps you hunt bigger and meaner creatures whose hides make better gear… ad infinitum. But look up from the inventory screen and into the world, and you’ll see a wonderfully realised ecosystem of bizarre flora and fauna. One that feels like it operates totally independently of you and your sword-swishes, and whose circle of life could continue into infinity. Hunt alone or in co-op with up to three other players, master your surroundings, and hunt down 31 large monsters and 17 smaller monsters, the majority of them new to the series. Each has their own pattern of behaviour, from feeding preferences to combat stances and attack patterns, so tracking is as important as fighting if you want a successful hunt.
