The Google Play Store now has a “try now” button for games, right next to the “buy” or “install” button. The feature uses technology from mobile studio AppOnBoard, and has already been implemented in a few titles. AppOnBoard is offering a 30-day free trial to developers wanting the feature in their games. Instant Apps have been available on the Google Play Store for a while now, allowing users to access apps without downloading them. Now, Google has taken things further with a “try now” button (located next to the “install” or “buy” buttons) for games in the Play Store. According to  Venturebeat  (h/t:  XDA-Developers ), hitting the button launches a demo that requires no installation. This demo can be up to 10MB in size, and seamlessly prompts users to download or purchase the full product once it’s over. Pikachu, Gardevoir and Suicune will be playable fighters in Bandai Namco's Pokémon fighting game, Pokkén Tournament, the game's developer confirmed during a livestream on Japan's Niconico video service today. The three newly confirmed Pokémon join previously announced playable fighters Lucario and Machamp, and a handful of assist characters, including Emolga, Fenniken, Lapras and Snivy.

Microsoft has had a checkered past when it comes to supporting one of its most valuable communities. PC gamers are part of the reason that Microsoft is still doing as well as it is in the desktop market, but the most the company has had to offer in recent years came in the form of the abysmal Games for Windows Live platform, which did far more harm than good. Most gamers have lost faith that Microsoft will ever do anything worthwhile for PC gaming, but with the release of Windows 10 around the corner, the company has a chance to change that perception.

History tends to chronicle the epic wars and fantastic feats of bravery. Many of the video games too tend to go down on that path. However, there are some daring independent and large game studios that have ventured into making games which show educate people the other side of war. Unrest is one such game from a small indie developer, that allows you to experience what it was like living in ancient India. Bhimra is one of the mightiest and richest cities of ancient India. However, a severe drought brings the city down to its knees. The hunger and disease drives the residents of the city to the edge, and you get to experience it first hand from five viewpoints. A princess is forced to flee from her palace and hide in slums. A diplomat from the Nagas, a race of snake people, doing everything to mend the strained diplomatic relations between the two races.

If The Godfather II had been a mediocre, mindless action flick, the game of the same name could at least be considered faithful to its source material.
