We usually see heavy metal robots but the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT) is also investigating the potential of soft robots
(powered by fluid flowing through flexible channels).
One of the research projects is this rubbery robot fish, it can execute an escape manoeuvre, convulsing its body to change direction, in just 100 milliseconds, or as quickly as a real fish can. It also looks like a real fish!
